Nearly Jazz & Wine Tasting
Nearly Jazz & Wine Tasting is an intimate concert experience that brings together improvised music and natural wine in a setting designed for discovery.
The New Amsterdam Trio is an international improvisation group featuring Swiss pianist Daniel Roser, Dutch percussionist Gustan Asselbergs, and New York-based trombonist and countertenor David Whitwell. Their music is fully improvised and moves freely between post-jazz, art songs, folk traditions and melodic structures. With a strong focus on clarity and trust, the trio creates music that is inviting and accessible, leaving room for both the musicians and the audience to explore something new.
Alongside the concert, guests are invited to a guided tasting of four natural wines, curated by Selection Sauvage. The tasting is led by Amsterdam-based sommelier David Schölmerich, who is passionate about energetic, earth-friendly wines made by committed, thoughtful producers. His approach to wine is open and down-to-earth, breaking away from elitist language and inviting everyone to discover what they truly enjoy.
Nearly Jazz & Wine Tasting is not about predefined forms or expectations. It is an evening where listening and tasting go hand in hand, where improvisation plays a central role, and where curiosity is rewarded.
