About the series:

In the 2026/27 season, the trio invites outstanding musicians and for the first time a dancer to join them as featured soloists, creating performances built entirely on free improvisation and direct interaction with the visual art on display.

Each edition is conceived as a unique encounter. The music responds to the current exhibition in the gallery, allowing sound, space, and image to shape one another in real time. No two concerts are alike. What emerges exists only in that specific moment, in that specific room.

On October 31, The NAT and Biron will work together to create meaning in the moment, connecting with the surrounding artwork, each other and the audience.

Sixtine Biron is a French dance artist. She trained in ballet at the National Conservatory of Lyon before continuing her studies at Arts Umbrella in Vancouver, where she had the opportunity to perform works by choreographers including Crystal Pite, Marco Goecke and Sharon Eyal.

In 2021, she joined ICK Amsterdam, where she worked closely with artistic directors Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten and performed with the company for four seasons. She is now a freelance artist, collaborating with a range of artists and choreographers, including Ann Van den Broek.

She is interested in embodied knowledge and in the ways the body can be a place of experience, perception, memory and exchange. Her practice moves between physical exploration and the wider contexts in which bodies exist, approaching dance as a physical, social and political practice.
